Jesse M Avina
Artist & Escapist
Jesse Avina is a multi-disciplinary artist who explores issues of war, violence, and fantasy and how such themes are mediated and made digestible through popular culture. Since 2008 he has taught in the Photography Department at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and several non-profit art foundations across the city. Jesse is the caretaker for over 90 houseplants and prefers rogues and wizards when playing Dungeons and Dragons.
